The Saskatoon Children’s Choir has four ensembles that run from September to mid-April. Every other year, our Concert Choir embarks on a tour which may extend rehearsals until the end of June.  Auditions for the next performing season are in May and June. Our auditions are open to all young people who love to sing or would like to learn more about singing through the SCC experience. While some previous vocal or music training is advantageous, it is not a requirement. Many choristers who are new to music training are able to demonstrate a natural aptitude for singing at the audition. Applicants must be between seven and fourteen years of age. There is no fee for auditions. Selected choristers will be placed in one of our three choirs – Preparatory Choir (ages 7-9), Apprentice Choir (ages 8-11) and Concert Choir (ages 11-16).

The audition with our Artistic Director, Kerry Agnew, is approximately 10 minutes and designed to be a positive experience. Auditioning singers will be asked to sing simple melodies, perform ear-training exercises and explore beginning level rhythm patterns.
